CVC has in place a comprehensive responsible investing policy that sets out our guiding principles and both our commitments to invest and operate responsibly.
Sustainability is integrated into our investment process
CVC sees Sustainability as an important part of our value creation and risk management approach to build a better business and create sustainable value. We have developed frameworks to integrate Sustainability into our investment processes across all seven investment strategies.
CVC recognises that proactively incorporating material sustainability factors with CVC’s own operations, as well as in our investment approach, ultimately contributes to the long term success of our business and the investments we make.
Proactively incorporating sustainability considerations will help future proof companies and meaningfully contribute to our objective of creating long-term sustainable value.

Sustainability is considered across the stages of the deal life cycle
From initial screening and due diligence to exit, we integrate Sustainability to support decision-making at each stage, where relevant and appropriate.
This involves integrating Sustainability considerations into our investment thesis, incorporating Sustainability factors into due diligence, and engaging with portfolio companies to drive Sustainability improvements during the holding period.
Monitoring and ongoing engagement
CVC's Value Creation framework (as pictured on the right) ensures a consistent approach to engaging and partnering with portfolio companies and investments on sustainability topics.
Our four pillar reporting programme aims to measure progress against each priority area, focusing on what is most material for a particular business.

Our ongoing commitment to Sustainability
CVC has been on a Sustainability journey since 2010 when we initiated our first Sustainability engagement programme with our Private Equity portfolio and established the CVC Foundation in 2011. We continue to evolve our approach and are committed to making improvements throughout our business operations and investment processes.
